Shoot for Life is a Livingston County-based nonprofit that uses archery, the outdoors, and community involvement to support mental health, build meaningful connections, and give back to veterans, first responders, and others facing difficult challenges.
Founded in 2015, the organization was built around the idea that time outdoors, shared experiences, and the right community can create opportunities for connection that may be difficult to find in more traditional settings.
Programs and events include mental health and PTSD awareness initiatives, community archery events, the Bows for Vets program, Bows & Bibles gatherings, and the Bowhunters Roundup. Through these efforts, Shoot for Life brings together veterans, first responders, families, volunteers, businesses, and community members around archery, fellowship, and support.
The Bows for Vets program provides archery equipment and opportunities to veterans and first responders, while other events create spaces where participants can connect with one another, learn about available resources, and enjoy time outdoors.
Our Mission
Shoot for Life’s mission is to use archery and the outdoors as a platform to raise awareness for mental health, build meaningful connections, and support veterans, first responders, and members of our communities.
